For the Glory of Old State!

Good Evening!  It is 9:15 pm here in Long Beach, California, and we are exhusted!  We arrived at the Harrisburg Airport this morning at 5:10 am - and have never seen the HIA airport soooo crowded and full of excitment!  6 charter flights were leaving from Harrisburg this morning from 6am to 9am - so you can imagine the amount of Penn Staters flocked throughout the building -- not to mention all the PSU fans that were not traveling on charter flights! 

How fun it was to fly to Long Beach with 200 Penn State Proud fans --- the cheers at take off and landing reminded me of my Blue Band Bowl travels, and during the flight - a round of "WE ARE..." was chanted as we passed into California!!! 

Once we arrived, we were given our room keys and luggage delivered to our room right away! We have a fabulous large oval windowed room here on the 10th floor and can see the Long Beach lights!!!  We spent time walking around the City with fellow Penn Stater Jeff - and found a few PSU fans that had trickled in early like us!  We went and toured the Queen Mary, have eaten at a Brewery next door  for lunch and just came back to collapse - after dinner at the Yard House- where 200 beers are on tap! Gordon was in heaven!  And I was dumbfounded how many taps where lined up at the bar!

Now we are in bed ready to sleep! its 9:25 pm now and we have an early morning tomorrow - for we signed up for the entire day - LA tour - which will also include a stop at one of the Float Building locations - which will be very exciting to view!

Its fun to walk around and run into Penn Staters everywhere! Although we know we have even more to run into in LA where most of the fans are staying!
