...Shapeless in the hands of fate,
Thou didst mold us, dear old State,
Dear old State, dear old State.
This post is by Mommy (imagine that), who looked at these pictures and thought they all
described the third verse of the Alma Mater.
Watching the blue band's prospective rookie auditions... future prospective rookie in 2028?... most certainly!
"come on, let me go, I can do that high step too!"
mello's relaxing during auditions. a fabulous horn player from my very first fourth grade band during my first year teaching in 01/02, is right in the center of this photo! michele made the band, and I couldn't be more thrilled for her!
Mr. Independent thinks he should pick up the mace, strut down the field, and perform the traditional flip..... maybe next time J
there you have it, the third verse of the Alma Mater in my eyes...
a little one seeing the possibilities of his future, a rookie making dreams come true, and one proud Alum, Mama, and Teacher, who couldn't be more excited for both of these blondes: the new blue bander, and the future blue bander! Congrats Michele!! and Joseph, well, start practicing that flip! Drum Major Joseph Kaslusky has a marvelous ring to it!

Or maybe quarterback Joseph? I love thinking about my children's future, imagining what they will be. My husband is a diehard football man (high school coach for 15 years)and just knows that Conner will play the game, as well as baseball. I chuckle knowing that so many things could happen that he would never anticipate -- like my son becoming a world class musician. What fun it will be to watch them grow and choose their interests!
