All about.... The Kaslusky's!

My photo
Our little family loves to travel, play, read, all things Penn State, and laughing and giggling! If only we could get paid to laugh and giggle! Joseph brings such joy to all he meets, and his smile is infectious! And we are so excited Sweet Baby James is here safe and sound!

My Fairy Godmother

This was my (James') special weekend.
My own Baptism.

More photos of the event coming soon,
but first a tribute and beautiful thanks to my
(fairy) Godmother, Jenny.

Mama and Jenny have known each other since August 1997.
They met at the good old Music Building at PSU and
spent many a day and nights together at PSU, and would be seen together at
Mass together on campus...
And even though they eventually didn't see each other as frequently in their
later PSU years, they have always stayed in touch.
Mama and Dada are Jenny's littlest Godparents... and now Jenny and Mike are my
Godparents. But the silly Air Force moved them to LA in Late June.
YES...
LOS ANGELES!

What the heck! But I still needed to be Baptized.
So the day was planned and proxy's were planned.

Then, this week... Jenny called Mama and said -
SURPRISE I am coming!
Our family was overjoyed.
I am so blessed.

So we spent Saturday celebrating my Baptism... Saturday night
rooting for PSU football together (as in days past! - Melanie Brown- do you remember Mama and Jenny took you to your first game?) and then Mama, Dada and the Fairy Godmother stayed up wayyyy to late (there was no midnight curfew apparently!).  It was good for mama's soul.

Then this morning, just like that, the Fairy Godmother had to leave to head home to her wonderful family.

Here are our parting shots together.

My practically perfect Fairy Godmother.
We love you so so so much.

And, a side note.... because this is HIL.AR.IOUS!.....

These two crazy's go to change... come downstairs...
WEARING THE SAME SHIRT!
2,700+ miles apart... and they both pull out the same shirt.
and neither knew they had the same shirts!

by the time Jenny sees this, she will have landed at LAX and hopefully have gotten home safely, and have slept and it will be Monday morning (if all goes well!)

Thank you, dear friend, for coming on a whirlwind tour east for our little j's special day.
What a delightful surprise.
What an amazing memory.
What a stunning tribute to our little j and our faith.

We love you....

and special thanks to (almost) MAJOR Godfather Mike.... thanks for letting her come and staying home with the littles.... we wish you had been here to celebrate (and later yell at the TV and do your "lion ears" - and then stay up way to late sampling drinks!) -- but we are so thankful you let Jenny come for the weekend!!!

Blessed. Beyond. Measure
